Poetry competition

04 March 2015

Monday saw our annual KS2 Performance poetry competition take place at BISB. All the children in Years 3-6 had learnt and recited a poem but only 3 successful candidates from each year group could take part in the final rounds.. Punctuated by some amazing rock guitar performances, the competition was judged by Australian director, and former board member of Poetry Australia, Virginia Proud. She had a tough task along with Mrs. Morris and Mr. Nicholson in deciding the winners who were;

1st Place: Adam Year 4
2nd Place: Fraser Year 6
3rd Place: Emma Year 3
Special mentions to: Anna and Karolina
Following this competition some member of Year 6 will be competing in the Inter Schools Poetry Competition this Friday. We wish them the best of luck...
