All the World's a Stage.

30 October 2017

Ever tried to create a dinosaur using just your body? Or a working machine that includes 64 bodies? Recently Year 7 did just that as they participated in a drama workshop with our visiting specialist Anne-Marie Astley.

  • Drama Workshop Year 7 at BISB

Anne-Marie Astley is based in one of our Nord Anglia Schools in South East Asia. We were fortunate that she came to spend a day with us to share her love and passion for theatre.

The Stage Stars, extra curricular group worked on their tableaux and comedic skills in preparation for their first performance at the Winter Concert in December. The English Production students were introduced to physical theatre and in particular ‘Frantic Assembly’  an internationally renowned theatre company who inspire and explore innovative practice, unlocking creative potential.

A fantastic day was had by all. Staff were very impressed with the creativity and high order thinking of our students within their performance work. A big thank you to Anne-Marie Astley for joining us and sharing her infectious enthusiasm for her theatre. We loved it.
