This week we had 6 piano concerts in our new keyboard lab. The Year 5 and 6 students performed for their parents the pieces they had learnt during music classes. The parents got involved too. Parents played a Kahoot game and the students taught their parents to play ‘Ode to Joy’ by Beethoven. We also had some amazing solo performances.
On Thursday, 30th March the Year 3 students performed a wonderful recorder concert for their parents in the auditorium. The children are following a programme called Recorder Karate that allows them to progress at their own pace. Year 3 played songs from the white belt up to the gold belt. By aspiring to excellence some children even learnt and played, ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusic’ by Mozart! Recorder Karate will continue throughout the third term.
