On Wednesday 10th May, Year 4 and Year 5 enjoyed the opportunity to get an update on the young person they are supporting. We were pleased to find out that Ottó Dávid (17 years old), a cancer patient, was able to fulfill his wish of attending a Barcelona football match last week. After experiencing his first flight and many other firsts, he concluded that it was not one wish but many wishes that he had received!
The students asked a variety of thoughtful questions and then we presented Eva (founder of Csodalámpa), with 745000HUF. She then let us know that having raised so much money, we will be able to fulfill a second wish (exact one to be confirmed).
Thank you to all students, staff and parents who helped make this wish possible. It was lovely to know we could help a member of our Hungarian community.
Here are some insights from the students:
"It's important to know we can help someone, to make them happy and get their wishes." Layan
"This is a good memory in his life and not only about being in hospital." Arevik
"I felt very surprised we made so much, 745,000 HUF!" Teoman
