Each student registered with the chess federation of their own country and they are now able to participate in competitions and gain an official chess rating. The event consisted of approximately 80 young people from across Hungary and six games were played over the course of 3 days. Four of the six students played their first ever professional tournament. Each of them played extremely well and gained points. The students involved were: Daniel Pricopi, Marco Pricopi, Elliott Colwell, Lennox Colwell, Mireia Cario and Akshat Sharma. All of the students were excited and enjoyed the experience very much, though it was very tense.
We hope this will be the first of many tournaments over the course of the year. Congratulations to all of them and their successes! Well done.
