This week, the children have enjoyed the increasingly warm weather and have been collecting the abundant ‘nyárfa’ blossom that is found in our playground.
This change in weather will be welcomed by our Year 6 students and teachers as they head off to Sümeg for the official start our Primary Residential Programme next week. They will spend an extended programme of 3 nights away on their residential, as a transition into future enrichment weeks in our Secondary school. The children and teachers will spend their days hiking, cycling, swimming, completing sports and STEAM challenges as well as trying medieval sports before returning on Friday. For regular updates, please check our social media channels.
We welcomed the return of our Learning and Enrichment Programme this week with some new additions to enhance our current provision: cricket; yoga and gardening. On average, each Primary child participates in 3 activities a week and next year we are planning on broadening the LEAP provision with additional new and exciting opportunities.
For those of you who are celebrating Hungarian Mother’s day this weekend, I hope you have a restful weekend. The picture accompanying this article is of recycled flowers for this special day made in another of our new LEAP activities, the KS2 Recycling Club with Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Rónaszéki.
Have a wonderful weekend.
