Juilliard ‘Ask the Artist’ series

We are pleased to announce that over the upcoming school year we will be covering three professional performing artists in the Global Campus Online “Ask the Artist” series for our students.

This week we launched the first artist, actor Jasmine Batchelor. Her professional credits include regional performances at Human Race Theater Company (Dayton, OH), Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (Madison, NJ), Baltimore Center Stage (Baltimore, MD), Two River Theater (Red Bank, NJ), and TheaterWorks Hartford (Hartford, CT). In New York, she has starred in workshops, readings, and new play developments at Manhattan Theater Club, Ars Nova, New York Theatre Workshop, and Strangemen Theatre Company. She has also appeared as a series regular on the out-of-this-world Go90 digital series, Miss 2059, and guest starred in episodes of The Affair, The Good Fight, and most recently, NBC’s new hit medical drama, New Amsterdam. In 2019, she will begin filming as the lead in the independent film The Surrogate, helmed by up-and-coming director and writer, Jeremy Hersh.

You can find more details on Global Campus Online here.

The “Ask the Artist” site on Global Campus Online contains Jasmine’s bio, photos and videos.  Following this is a section where students can post questions about anything they’re curious about e.g. why she became an actor, her motivations and inspirations, how she gets into characters, her involvement in communities, etc. Deadline for questions is Friday 2nd November 2018.  Jasmine will then read all the questions and choose a selected number to answer, which she will do by video. We will post the video answers on Global Campus Online by Tuesday 27th November 2018.
