Year 13 IB Spanish class creates a display about Columbus

12th October 1492 marks one of the most important historical dates. Its significance reaches above and beyond the imaginable. America was discovered by Christopher Columbus who was an Italian explorer, navigator and colonist.

He started a new era of adventure and expanded our horizons. Last week we created posters to display his discovery and to educate our school community about his findings and well known conquests. He sailed on the Niña, Pinta and the Santa María; names that became ubiquitous over the centuries associated with new horizons and great walls being broken down. Christopher Columbus was truly one of a kind. He was adventurous, creative, full of passion and aspirational.  The students of the Year 13 IB Spanish classes worked on this display throughout last week.
