Art Room Antics - News from the Art Room

15 February 2018

It has been a busy two weeks in the Art room with lots of fantastic work and technical skills developing.  Year 7 have captured their musically influenced still life with charcoal on a large scale. They incorporated their knowledge and understanding of shape and form particularly well and excelled in their application of tone to produce some skilled outcomes. It was great to see their confidence with the media grow as they found their rhythm.

On Saturday I held an Art session for GCSE and IB Art students and what a productive day it was. Everyone was thoroughly engrossed in their work and with creative juices flowing. I was extremely impressed with their dedication and mature attitude to the day. I have no doubt that there will be some incredible work produced over the next few weeks and during the Year 11 GCSE Art exam. Watch this space for visual updates.

The IB Visual Arts and Music recital show will take place on Tuesday 6th March in Kiscelli Museum. It promises to be a wonderful and exciting experience for all.
