BISB students getting ready for their Tanzania expedition

Vaccinations have been administered. Passport details checked. Bags are almost packed. It is time for our 20 intrepid Tanzania Expedition volunteers to set off on their adventure.

  • Students Tanzania expedition

Our collaboration with SeeWay, our Tanzania charity partners, will see our 20 BISB students from Years 9-12 being involved in a building project connected to a local school, working with vulnerable members of village communities and spending some time on safari animal-watching.

Fundraising has been amazing this year. Students have raised over 6000 Euros to help the charity provide simple solar lighting, goat sheds (complete with goat) and smoke-less brick stoves to families most in need. Even this week there was one final push to raising more cash with a WAX OFF event. This involved 5 male members of staff losing their leg hair for a good cause. Ouch!
