Council of International Schools University Fair

12 April 2018

On Thursday 12th April a highly successful university fair, under the auspices of CIS (Council of International Schools), was held in our school theatre.

All students from Years 9-12 had the chance to visit the fair during the afternoon and speak to the representatives from the 10 visiting universities; several of which are members of the Russell group. The combination of our spacious theatre and the number of representatives present meant that there were no frustrating queues and everyone could speak to a wide range of representatives. Students found out about entry requirements, the nature of UK university life and the importance of good IGCSE results and wise choice of IB subjects. The representatives spoke very highly of the quality of our students and their questions. They were particularly pleased to be able to dispose of almost all their prospectuses; always a good sign at a university fair!

It is intended to make this a regular event and one of an increasing number in the future. Many thanks to all the people who contributed to make this the excellent successful event that it was.
