The day will focus on how to make sure that Early Years assessment is relevant, meaningful and informs teaching for next steps in learning as well accountability to parents and senior leadership.
As an enabling learning environment is central to the effective observation of independent learning, we will explore the key elements of continuous provision and there will be time to plan with colleagues and the Early Excellence consultant.
Everyone will be able to consider how techniques such as the Leuven Scales, the monitoring of the Characteristics of Effective Learning and recording observational evidence contribute to articulating progress.
For Foundation Stage Leaders, there will be an opportunity to consider the moderation of judgements with the most up to date exemplification.
