Healthy Habits

Year 5 Wave has put together a great assembly for our topic ‘Healthy Habits’. The assembly follows Mr Scrooge as he learns about how to have healthy habits after enjoying his first Christmas (that included some unhealthy choices). The journey included songs and choral speaking, as well as special presentations written by the children covering the many topics. These presentations focussed on the importance of exercise, a healthy sleep pattern, and diet. They included presentations on eating enough fibre, and the importance of mental health and how we need to handle technology carefully so we don’t harm our mental health.  The children did a great job putting the assembly together, supporting each other beautifully. Hopefully, as a result of the assembly, some members of the audience will make healthier choices and establish more healthy habits.
