Musicians: just because we are not in school at the moment doesn’t mean we are not still making music and getting better and better on our instruments. Maybe you were preparing for ABRSM, IGCSE, or had a recital coming up that has now been cancelled. Global Campus is offering the opportunity for you to get involved in an NAE worldwide competition.
Whether you play the violin, drums or sing - if you're a musician, we would like to encourage you to select, prepare and enter a performance for the Nord Anglia Education Virtual Musician of the Year competition. Deadline May 18th. To find out more check out the global campus website. You will need to be logged in for this. https://globalcampus.nae.school/course/view.php?id=546
Drama: Actors and performing artists in New York have got together to create online readings of monologues to entertain the community in this time of isolation. In these challenging times, stories of hope can lift our spirits and motivate and inspire us. If you look, there are plenty of uplifting stories that will make you smile. So we want to know...What’s your story? How has someone in your community helped you or how have you helped others? We'd like you to write a short monologue and perform it on video so that others can hear your voice.
It could be a short comical tale of lending someone some toilet roll who doesn’t have any, or a story of hope as a care worker helps an elderly person with some difficulties while being alone. Try to be inspired by real events, so you may want to research some of the great things that are happening in these difficult circumstances.
