Safety in Science

This week, Year 7 had a round-up of their safety lessons and were turned into CSI agents to try to find all the safety issues in a classroom display. Dr Bob and Prof Betty had stayed behind after school without permission and had done some experiments after-hours!

Students had to look closely - but not too close - to try to find as many of the 20+ safety problems, from spilt chemicals, eating in the lab, mixing unknown chemicals and handling chemicals with bare hands.

They certainly enjoyed the alternative way of showing their understanding, and we now look forward to them all being safe scientists as we move forward with their learning.
