Ms Higson hails from the Lake District in England. She graduated in Philosophy from Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to study at Manchester Academy of English. Since finishing her studies, Ms Higson became a volunteer for a British children's charity organising classes in her local community.
Ms. Higson arrived in Budapest in 2011. Before joining BISB she taught in an international kindergarten and tutored adults in English. In 2014 Ms. Higson achieved her Higher Mathematics certification here at BISB. She graduated from the University of Nottingham last year with a PGCE teaching degree.
Ms. Higson is a firm believer in inquiry-based learning, ensuring a differentiated learning style for all students. She believes that the key to this lies in an open and collaborative learning environment for both students and teachers alike. Ms. Higson is ambitious in her journey as a professional teacher, actively seeking new opportunities for professional development that enrich her own learning and that of her students.
In her spare time Ms. Higson enjoys hiking and handicrafts.
