After university, Tom moved to London where he worked in the city as a data processor. This did not last long and he quickly realised his desire for travel and new cultures. Tom worked as TEFL teacher in Spain and Thailand before training to be a Mathematics teacher in the UK. After two years teaching in the UK, Tom taught 10 years in Latin America gaining experience in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia.
Tom joined the British International School Budapest in August 2017.
Tom's teaching philosophy is to create a dynamic, energy-filled and caring environment where students feel respected, comfortable, with a strong sense of wonder and excitement.
In his spare time, Tom likes to be active and plays a lot of different sports in particular football and golf. He loves being around nature and will often happily spend an afternoon on a long walk or bike ride. He is also content listening to music, reading and watching films in the comfort of his own home.
