The children in Nursery were very excited to explore the different bugs that were in school from the nature museum this week. Our favorite was the desert millipede!

We continued our map work in the hopes that our class mascot Monty the monkey would be able to find his way back to us. Luckily, we included so many landmarks on our Chicago map that he was able to return! Being the cheeky monkey that he is, he hid with the treasure he had brought us back and set us a treasure hunt to find him. We followed all the clues using our positional language we had been learning in math and we found him sitting in our sand tray all along! We were excited to see Monty had brought us each back a British penny. We had great fun over the weekend coming up with a story about what Monty had been doing all the time he had been gone.
