7 Super Awards for Middle School Science Olympians

  • British International School of Chicago, South Loop | Private School Chicago

Our students won seven awards, including a first-place finish, at a Science Olympiad Invitational held right here at BISC South Loop.

Sixteen teams from eight schools across Chicagoland competed in events spanning five topics:

  1. Life, Personal & Social Science
  2. Physical Science & Chemistry
  3. Inquiry & Nature of Science
  4. Technology & Engineering
  5. Earth and Space Science

Science Olympiad functions much like a football or soccer team, requiring preparation, commitment, coaching and practice throughout the year. For every competition, each school team may bring 15 students who cross-train for a variety of events in their skill set.

Well done to the Bulldogs! We’re now prepping for another Invitational in February, followed by the Regional Tournament in March.
