Pride point! After preparing all school year, our students achieved a 100% pass rate on their Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) practical exams. On top of that, the 36 students earned more scores in the top two tiers, Merit and Distinction, than ever before.
ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year. These exams, marked by UK examiners, help students measure their progress and attainment against internationally recognized benchmarks.
Our students, ranging from Year 5 (Grade 4) to Year 11 (Grade 10), sat practical exams for a variety of instruments. The exams tested their knowledge of performance, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading, as well as their aural awareness. To prepare for the exams, students studied these topics during class and at a variety of extracurricular clubs and booster sessions we hold before and after school.
We’re so proud! These results reflect the commitment and enthusiasm all our students demonstrate during their Music lessons.
Now, we wish five of our Middle and High School students the best of luck as they sit their ABRSM music theory exams in the coming days.
