BSG runs safe and efficient bus routes to our South Lake and Olympic Park campuses, covering the major residential areas of Guangzhou. All routes are monitored by teachers and a bus supervisor with rigorous health and safety procedures.

BSG LUNCHES

AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR CHILD TO THRIVE

Our After School Activity (ASA) programme at BSG allows your child to get involved in a variety of creative, active, service, and academic groups or opportunities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school each week. During ASAs, your child can hone a talent or discover an exciting new one.

ASAS FOR YEARS 2 AND 3

If your child is in Years 2 or 3, they can experience a variety of activities which further develop their core values of learning. They can gain the confidence to learn new skills, try different activities, and have fun.

ASAS FOR YEARS 4 ONWARD

If your child is any year from Year 4 onward, they’ll get to choose two out of hundreds of available ASAs for their Tuesdays and Thursdays. The variety is huge and includes performing arts, team sports, charity work, journalism, computer science, and robotics!

STEAM INTERESTS AND ASA CLUBS

Your child can choose from many fun STEAM-related ASAs that help develop a variety of logical, investigative, and inquiry skills. They can expand their knowledge of our world and learn different applications of concepts to see a result or impact.

PERFORMING ARTS, FINE ARTS, AND CRAFT ASAS

Your child can choose from clubs across music, dance, drawing, painting, costume-making, and beyond to develop their creativity and find significant ways of expressing themselves or representing the world around us. By communicating their ideas through different forms and media, your child can deepen their skills and knowledge in profound ways.

SPECIAL INTERESTS AND ACADEMIC ASAS

Whether it’s in a debate, a discussion around university life ahead, or a leadership initiative in protecting and helping the environment, your child can take advantage of the clubs and opportunities at BSG where they can take a hand or have a voice in leading our future.

ATHLETICS AND SPORTS TEAMS

Your child can be active at BSG and maintain their wellness through a variety of athletic skills, habits, and lifestyle practices. They may delight in swimming, playing football, or stretching their bodies in yoga class – to name just a few of our weekly offerings.

FURTHER PRACTICE AND ENRICHMENT THROUGH ACADEMIES

Your child can participate in additional optional, enrichment activities known as ‘academies’ led by BSG teachers (or highly qualified external providers) after ASAs occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays or on Saturday mornings – outside normal school hours.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK AND INVOLVEMENT

We keep an ‘open door’ policy at BSG, where we encourage feedback, discussion, and communication with parents to ensure we’re doing our best. This has helped us gain a strong reputation in the community. We have structured opportunities to help us maintain a strong school-home partnership.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Parent Support Groups (PSGs) are parent volunteers who get involved with school life through charity work and other helpful initiatives. Parent Representatives (Reps) help their child’s class teacher share information with other parents in the class, among other things that support their child’s class.
