The NBPS debate team recently competed at two tournaments in Dallas, TX: The Greenhill Round Robin, and Greenhill Proper.

The Greenhill Round Robin in Dallas, TX is a tournament that celebrates 16 nationally talented Policy Debate teams. Nicholas Mancini (12th Grade) and Giorgio Rabbini (12th Grade) won their pod, and concluded their run as Finalists on a close 2-1 decision. Giorgio was also 4th Speaker.

The Greenhill Proper is also a national debate tournament. Akash Deo (10th grade) and Anna Farronay (11th grade) received their second bid to the national Tournament of Champions, finishing their prelim round as the 7th seed. We are excited to have at least two policy teams at the TOC this year, which is unprecedented for the school. DF made it to the octafinals, being edged out on a 2-1 decision. Anna was 23rd Speaker and Akash was 25th Speaker out of 230 policy debaters across the country.
Nicholas Mancini (12th grade) and Giorgio Rabbini (12th grade) were the champions! The were seeded 1st seed after having a perfect 6-0 prelim record, and won all of their elimination debates. Giorgio was the 1st place speaker, winning the Colin Rule Trophy (which Nick won last year), and Nicholas was the 3rd place speaker.
