Congratulations Speech & Debate

A big congratulations to the Speech & Debate Team as they continue their winning streak and for their amazing results.

Barkley Forum:

The NBPS Debate Team recently attended the Barkley Forum at Emory University. Senior policy debaters Nick Mancini and Giorgio Rabbini received their eighth bid to the national Tournament of Champions. For the second year in a row, Giorgio received 1st place speaker out of 200 students. Nick received 5th place speaker. Congratulations to all!

Lexington Tournament:

The NBPS Debate Team also recently attended the Lexington Tournament in Boston, MA. Junior Daniel Ardity, sophomore Tyler Brown, and seniors Nick Mancini and Giorgio Rabbini were all undefeated! Daniel and Tyler received their 3rd TOC bid, and Nick and Giorgio received their 7th TOC bid. Also, Nick won 1st place speaker out of just under 100 students. Congratulation to everyone!

Afterschool Tournament:

More than 30 intro and middle school debate students recently attended an after-school tournament at Flanagan High School to compete against high schoolers all around Broward County. In Public Forum, Aidan Kennedy (competing maverick!), Fabian Salvador, Jessica Ostrow, Karina Samuel, and Lea Toledano were undefeated and received medals. In Policy, Sebastian Siervo, Max Berk, Adam Friesen, Jonah Sabbota, Cameron Little, and Matthew Metzner were undefeated and received medals.
