Healthy Living Extravaganza!

From sprints and smoothies to 'Sheep Dash' and science, the Year 3 corridor was brimming with activity.

Following on from Year 3’s topic on Healthy Living this half term, the children held their own healthy living extravaganza. The parents were invited to take part in 11 different activities that would test their strength, endurance, agility, speed, resting heart rate, their knowledge of the body and many more activities that promote healthy living. At the beginning of the event the parents were met by the Meet and Greet team who were on hand to show the parents around and provide them with a passport to collect the all important stamps for the 11 different activities on offer. The parents got to see Year 3 in action as experts and the children were able to build their confidence in teaching others whats they had learnt.

Some activities provided more of a challenge than others with exercises such as the plank and the bleep test. Mr. Barton did not let the team down with his sprint to the finish line in the 100m run. Some might say he’s on the heels of Usain Bolt!

A massive thank you goes out to everyone that took part in making it a successful event.
