Annie Jr.

Key Stage Two are bringing the wonderful production of Annie Jr to the BSG stage. View the programme below!

  • BSG's Annie Jr.

Taking 21st Century children back to the 1930s is no small task, but that’s what we have tried to do here with Annie JR. We’ve set out to show off the battle between the grim world of Miss Hannigan’s depressing orphanage and the bright, hopeful, splendour of the Warbucks mansion.

With such a grand vision to stage, the children of KS2 have risen to the challenge in a genuinely remarkable way. Their talent is never in doubt, but their commitment and good-nature have made the job of directing very simple. Share an idea, offer up a platform and watch excellence unfold. I could not have asked for a better cast to work with.

From cast, to choir, from dancers, to backstage, there have, quite literally, been hundreds of BSG students involved in putting together this production. The end product you will witness today is a culmination of months of their efforts. To every child who has had even the smallest role in helping stage this show: thank you!

I am truly indebted to so many people - every single member of the adult crew has my sincerest thanks for everything they have done (and there are so many!) - but none more so than the children who will perform for you today. It has been my privilege to work with these young actors, singers and dancers and I can’t wait for you to see what they have put together.

So please, sit back, relax, and marvel at BSG’s KS2 Production of Annie JR.

Enjoy the show!

Thank you

Putting together a show like this cant happen without the tireless effort of our students. Rehearsals started way back in January and it has been remarkable the commitment all students involved have shown in bringing this final show to you today. A huge well done to every member of cast, singer in the choir and talented dancer. You have created a truly spectacular show of which you should be very proud.

It is also important to publicly recognise and thank the many adults who have been involved in bringing this show together.
