I graduated in 2010 and have subsequently taught across Key Stage 1 and 2, though primarily within the Early Year’s department. Early Years teaching is extremely rewarding, enabling the foundational life skills children require throughout their lives. Through play and formal teaching methods, I ensure that young children develop and flourish, guaranteeing they are confident and prepared to undertake the next steps in their educational journey.
Alongside developing academically, I have worked at two American Summer Camps and led a Scout Group for 3 years, all of which have compounded my belief that children require a full and rounded education, nurturing the whole child. My attitude in and outside of the classroom follows this conviction and I am committed to cascading this within my new role. My passion for teaching and travel are combined within my new post and I look forward to this challenge at BSG.
I lead a healthy lifestyle, practising yoga and attending a number of different exercise classes each week - keeping fit physically and mentally is very important to me. I love indoor rock climbing and combining this with friends makes it a social part of my life. I like a challenge and a change in life and believe in living on the edge of your comfort zone! I would like to see myself happy and settled at BSG striving for outstanding outcomes for the children.
