Carmen Johannie

EAL Teacher

I have been practicing as an EAL teacher for six years, working in various countries and when moving to China, BSG in particular spoke out to me as being an excellent opportunity to pursue my passion as a teacher in Asia. I graduated in South Africa with a degree in Business, I hold a CELTA qualification as well as a PGCEi from Nottingham University. My aim as a teacher is to promote learning in an environment that is fun and engaging for the students, unlocking their true potential and allowing them to become the best version of themselves.

In my spare time I love to socialise with my friends and enjoy exploring outdoors. Family is also very important to me as I come from a close-knit family and even though we have dispersed around the country, we still make time to have reunions as much as possible. I have a weakness for the ocean as I was born and raised on the cost in South Africa, so I leap at any opportunity I can get to venture out to the ocean. I have an absolute passion for travelling and learning about different cultures. I have been fortunate enough to travel to various countries in Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Asia. When I am not out on an adventure exploring, I love to read and listen to music.
