PE Teacher

I completed my teacher training at Brunel University in 2005 and then taught in London for 2 years. In 2008 I took a position at the British International School of Shanghai (Puxi), where I developed the Ks2  and Ks3 sports programmes. After 4 years I took responsibility for all of the sports programmes and chaired the Shanghai international schools’ sports associations.

In 2015, I took a role at St Julian’s International school, Lisbon. In this role I was responsible for raising standards and developing the GCSE PE and IB Sports Science curricula. I am a passionate coach of a whole host of sports including; football, track and field and rugby, in addition to this I have extensive experience in strength and conditioning for sports performance.

I am very excited to be returning to China and Norda Anglia to teach at BSG, where I will have the honour of developing the A-Level PE curriculum as a member of a very talented and experienced team.

I am moving to Guangzhou with my partner (who is also teaching at the school) and our twin daughters who were born in Portugal and so are already on their way to becoming true global citizens! My hobbies are wide and varied, I love travel and adventure, running and feats of endurance, my many bikes are prized possessions and I have recently challenged myself to improve my olympic weightlifting. I love board and card games, reading and learning languages.
