University Degree: BA Education, PGCE
Originally from a small town in the UK, I graduated from Staffordshire University with a BSc (hon) in Music in 2008, before returning to study to complete a LLB (hon) Law degree, as well as a GDL in law in 2011.
I developed a passion for teaching through travel and volunteering in a school, which led me to Asia, where I completed my CELTA in Thailand, enabling me to develop a background in teaching English as an additional language and a Primary class teacher. I have been in Guangzhou for over 3 years now and enjoy the diversity of teaching here in China, as well as seeing so many children embrace their learning with such ownership and passion.
I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit many wonderful places around the world, including here in China too. I enjoy learning about new countries and cultures, and experiencing the different languages and food that each one has to offer, as well as meeting new people.
I love adventure and I always enjoy a challenge! I’m a keen scuba diver, mountain biker, and I play ice hockey in Guangzhou!
