I trained through Teach First, gaining my PGCE whilst working at a large state school in Birmingham, and then completing my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Warwick University. Wanting to broaden our professional and personal horizons, my wife and I moved to Thailand in 2013 to work at Regents International School Pattaya, a Nord Anglia Education sister school.
During three wonderful years in Thailand I worked as a Science teacher, Head of EAL Academy, and completed a secondment to the Secondary Leadership team. In 2016 I returned home to the UK to take on a role as Head of Science and to join the school leadership team, where I led on enrichment, recruitment, staff CPD, and Teaching and Learning across the school.
Relatively recently, I became a Dad for the first time, so any free time outside of school tends to be spent entertaining Henry; a joyful, inquisitive and mischievous toddler with boundless energy. When I do find myself with completely free time, I enjoy reading, cycling, swimming and playing the guitar. I love travelling and I am really looking forward to spending time with my family exploring many of the diverse experiences that China has to offer.
