Science Teacher

I got my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China and my Master’s degree in Science from Harvard University. I found my real passion in teaching when I was studying at Harvard and I was awarded the Certificate of Distinction in Teaching at Harvard as a teaching assistant. After graduating from Harvard I taught high school Chemistry in Boston for seven years. Then I came back to China and taught IGCSE / A level Chemistry and IGCSE Physics for three years in Guangzhou.

I hold Massachusetts teaching certificates in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Mandarin Chinese for grades 5-12 (Year 6-13). I also hold the Massachusetts Endorsement of Sheltered English Immersion for teaching English language learners in academic classrooms.

I decided to apply to teaching positions at BSG after hearing many good things about this school from one of my friends, who started working here earlier. It is the motivating, positive atmosphere at BSG, the welcoming, supportive and happy people here that attracted me the most. I deeply appreciate the job opportunity I’ve been given at BSG, and I will be dedicated to creating a protective, encouraging and nourishing learning environment for our students.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching movies, shopping and hanging out with my friends. I’m also interested in watching international news, especially the American news, because prior to my Guangzhou experiences, I spent 12 years in the U.S., and made many friends there.
