The Village School recently hosted Misty Tolle, Music Curriculum Specialist from The Juilliard School, in early February 2017. Misty, a Juilliard-trained horn player has over two decades of experience performing in Broadway musicals, symphony orchestras, and chamber ensembles. She is on faculty at Transylvania University and is a Buffet Group USA Artist with Stiletto Brass Quintet.
Misty works with The Village School staff by hosting professional development sessions with music faculty, observing classes, and co-teaching music lessons.
“We really enjoyed our time with Misty and we appreciate the opportunity given to our students and faculty in our new collaboration with The Juilliard School. The music students love exploring the activities and lessons created by Juilliard for our robust music program," said Martin Dimitrov, Assistant Director of Instrumental Music at The Village School.
