Shasi P. has been a student at The Village School for five years. He is a curious young man who was born in Bengaluru, India and has a deep passion for science.
“From the beginning, I was always a curious person: exploring the world around me and always asking questions. I love to learn about anything and everything from biology to chemistry, and The Village School helps me do that,” Shasi said.
This quote is a great example of the educational philosophy at The Village School. Students are encouraged to pursue their intellectual curiosity and we have curriculum and space that allow them to learn from our hands-on approach.
“I would say my favorite aspect of Village is the Project-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum. PBL teaches us core skills, such as problem solving, leadership and performing a public presentation. PBL prepares us for any kind of job and not just the ones that are in existence today,” Shasi said.
Shasi is certainly on the right path to pursue his future major in science and medicine in hopes of becoming a scientist or surgeon. His words of wisdom are, “try new things. Village offers tons of extracurricular activities like Quiz Bowl, robotics and Future City which are unlike anything you have done before.”
