After a successful career in Leisure Industry Management, Chris reskilled and gained a BEd (Hons) in Primary Education from the University of Plymouth St Mark and St John. He has previously taught and held leadership positions in Cornwall (England) and internationally, in Thailand.
During his time as Head of Primary at NAIS Manila, Chris has overseen the development of the Primary School, which has almost doubled in size during this time. Chris has played a lead role in enabling NAIS Manila to be recognised as an award-winning International School and as one of the leading International Schools in the Philippines.
Throughout my career I have worked with a range of different year levels in very different contexts. I have always been interested in educators knowing their pupils as individuals and adapting their teaching to cater for the needs of all children in their care, in order to maximize learning. As well as a strong, inclusive child centered approach my other passion is the wellbeing of staff.
As a proud Cornishman, my main hobbies are rugby and surfing. Although it seems to be much more watching rugby than playing at the moment! I love exploring the fantastic opportunities the Philippines has to offer and live in Manila with my wife, Judi and daughter, Aishena.
