The Home-School Partnership

Here at the International School of Moscow, we treasure the relationships between our staff, students, and families.

We celebrate these links through regular communication via Seesaw: each week, parents receive a message from their child’s class teacher, the Senior Management Team and from the Head of Campus. These messages outline highlights of the week, future learning objectives and any upcoming events.

The students and parents are welcomed at the school gate each morning by a member of the Senior Management Team.

Progress reports are issued four times each year, and Parent-Teacher-Student Consultations take place alongside each report, giving all stakeholders an opportunity to review and plan ahead.

The students and parents are welcomed at the school gate each morning by a member of the Senior Management Team, who also bid them farewell at the end of each day. The students are brought outside at the end of the day by their class teachers, which affords an opportunity for teachers and parents to stay in touch at a suitably distanced, face-to-face level.

It was wonderful to discuss the positive comments with the children when they brought their books back to school.

In Term One, we introduced an initiative that sees students take home their English and Mathematics books to share their learning with their families. They also identify the piece of work that makes them most proud and then receive a reply, in any language, from an adult. It was wonderful to discuss the positive comments with the children when they brought their books back to school.
