Year 5 – Year 8 Trip to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

16 December 2016

Collaboration with MIT will enhance our Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) curriculum and will include a series of in-school challenges for all students

  • MIT STEAM 2017

We are delighted to announce that DCIS has been selected to begin a partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). To launch the collaboration for the 2017-2018 academic year, four of our students from Year 5 to Year 8 will have the opportunity to visit MIT in the United States from the 30th April 2017 to 6th May 2017.

The focus of the trip is STEAM subjects, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). While in Boston, students will take part in a synthetic Biology lab, workshops in real-world gaming, nautical engineering, programming and music production. There will also be tours of both MIT and Harvard University.

The trip will be a great opportunity to meet students from other schools, as approximately 104 students will be attending from 25 other Nord Anglia schools.
