Nursery and Reception Celebrate the Royal Wedding

Our students in Nursery and Reception put on a proper Royal Afternoon Tea Party on Friday to celebrate the Royal Wedding.

The students shared a fantastic spread of British food and students Ava, Skyla and Arun explained everything about the celebrations. “We are celebrating the royal wedding. Prince Harry is going to marry Miss Meghan. And Miss Pemberton.” The canteen was beautifully decorated with bunting and all the children were wearing crowns. “It is a tea party, but it’s only called that. We don’t actually drink tea, because we are children.” Despite the lack of tea, the children were really enjoying themselves. “I like the biscuits best. Prince Harry probably likes oreos, but not the Queen. She loves tea. And cake! With gold on.” It was a fun-filled afternoon and the students showed some lovely royal manners. “You have to put your napkin on your lap when you are royal. Like me today, when I’m a princess.

Congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from DCIS!
