Flute and Saxophone Tutor (Independent Providers)

  • Period: School Term
  • Contract: Yearly

Your Role:

At DCIS we have an established Instrumental Music Programme and are looking to expand our lessons specifically with a flute and saxophone specialist. Your role would be to engage children in individual instrumental lessons and to encourage a passion for learning music. Lessons are held on a weekly basis and we ask that tutors commit to the same working hours each week for the duration of the year. These will be agreed with the successful applicant in advance. In addition to weekly lessons, tutors are key in helping students to prepare for any live/virtual performances, recitals and examinations where applicable.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Passion for music and teaching
  • Experience in teaching in a school environment is preferred
  • A positive working attitude and good time management skills are essential

All post holders in regulated activity (having regular unsupervised contact with children) are subject to appropriate national and international vetting procedures and will be asked to complete safeguarding training before commencement in the role. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are eligible to work as an Instrumental teacher in Singapore.
