Happy New Year!

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!  I had the pleasure of welcoming my wife’s family who have been with us over the holiday period;  we travelled to Dalat, Vung Tau and Mui Ne, to experience a little of Vietnam’s wonderful culture and hospitality.

The teachers and teaching assistants have been busy in school yesterday and today, preparing for the term ahead and we are looking forward to seeing the children bright and early on Monday morning.

Parents Evening and Sign-up

On Thursday 21st January, we have our next parents’ evening.  As I mentioned before the holiday, we will be using a new online method for signing-up.  A letter was sent out about this on Friday 18th December in English, Vietnamese and Korean – please contact Ms Emma if you did not receive this email.

On Monday, you will receive an email with your login details and a link to the website.  The site will be live from 3pm and you will be able to sign up to meet your child’s teachers.  The website will remain open for sign-up until Wednesday 20th January when it will close at 9am.  If you would like help signing up, there will be drop-in sessions on Tuesday 12th January and Thursday 14th January from 8.00am in the foyer.

I hope you find the system easy to use and would appreciate your feedback.

Tet Coffee Morning

We have celebrated Diwali with our Indian mums, and learnt how to make sushi with our Japanese mums; on Wednesday, there will be an opportunity to learn more about Tet, led by our Vietnamese mums.  I hope you will be able to join us Wednesday 13th January at 8.00am in the Multi-purpose Room.

Term 2 Clubs

Ms Emma is busy allocating clubs and you will be notified early next week.  There will be another opportunity for children to join certain clubs if places are available. Clubs begin on Monday 25th January.

Vietnamese Lessons

Vietnamese lessons will re-commence on Tuesday 12th January at 7.30am.

Enjoy the last weekend of the holidays and see you on Monday,

Ian Battersby
