It was a real privilege to work with members of the PTG this year particularly their involvement on the Global Cafe at International Week.
However that was just one of the events that the PTG are involved with here at BIS which was evident at the AGM, held this week and which highlighted the many and varied event that they support the school with.
Along with members of the AP2 excutive committee, parents had the opportunity to hear what the PTG had achieved this year, not least their support of our students and teachers and the incredible support of our community projects.
With new initiatatives such as the Recyle and Reuse Uniform project and events such as Teachers Day and the Spring Fair, it is fair to say that the PTG are always striving to make school life better for all.
Mr Simon used the analogy of the orchestra to describe the PTG with Ms Ginette Diaz Rodriguez being the conductor. In her final year here at BIS, Ginette has done a magificent job of working with and cordinating the various event committees to ensure a successful year for the PTG. Supporting Ginette in the role of treasurer, Mr Rob Manley did a super job of balancing the books and keeping everything in order. Rob will also step down from his role but we thank both him and Ginette for their superb work this year.
We welcome Ms Ying McKenzie as she steps into Ginette's shoes and wish her the very best. Supporting her in the role of treasurer will be Melanie Rowe. We know they, along with all the parents that make up the PTG will do a fantastic job and we look forward to working with you.
