In addition to being involved in an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Art lesson, offering expertise and input to our Year 13 students, there was an insightful presentation that looked at portfolios and how to present them for the application process.
In the words of one Year 13: “It was really useful to get some feedback from someone who knows exactly what a portfolio needs to be for a college application. It was interesting to hear some fresh views on my work and there were lots of positive comments so it was a confidence boost and a valuable experience. I really enjoyed it.”
The visit from SAIC means that almost 30 global Higher Education providers have come to the British International School Ho Chi Minh City as part of our University Visits Programme since the start of term, including universities from the UK, the USA, Canada, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. In the forthcoming weeks we will welcome visitors from universities in the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Japan, France and Switzerland as we aim to increase awareness of the diverse options available to our students as they start to look beyond BIS.
All visits are listed on the ISAMS calendar and the Bridge U platform and we would encourage students of all ages to maximise the opportunity of discovering more about individual universities and the application systems of different countries.
