BA
From a very young age, I have always had an ear for language. By high school, I was already fluent in English, French and Arabic, and looking to take on a fourth. So I started studying Mandarin and became captivated by the Chinese language and culture. At the age of 19, I made a life-changing decision to move to China to study at Tianjin University of Technology, and in 2015, graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Mandarin and Japanese.
After university, I started teaching English part-time, then later co-founded Momentum Sports Consulting — a football training academy for children aged 5 to 12. Over the next 5 years, I worked in a number of teaching roles across Early Years and Primary, and as my company grew, we became affiliated with an international school in Tianjin, which allowed me to coordinate their ASA and academy programs.
Although I was passionate about growing my company, I found it more rewarding to be working with students and teaching English. It isn’t just my background in languages that has given me insight into teaching English, it's the 10 years I have spent immersed in this culture. I can honestly say that I consider China to be my second home.
I am so pleased to have the opportunity to join BSG. I cannot wait to start this next chapter of my career and work alongside such dedicated and amazing teachers. In my free time, I enjoy playing football, snowboarding and learning piano.
