Are you ready to be off on an adventure out of this planet to discover the fascinating facts about space?! Children in Reception have not only enjoyed learning interesting space knowledge, but also given full play to their imaginations to create stories about the aliens! It has been such a pleasure to hear all the amazing stories from our young learners.
From outer space to Huangshan - Huangshan is known as 'the loveliest mountain of China', the name was claimed through art and literature during a good part of Chinese history. In Year 3, students in native speaking classes are learning a text called ‘Huangshan Stone’. In addition to learning the target Chinese characters, we also put a lot of effort into practising how to use specific and vivid descriptions to enrich our writing. As if the magnificent scenery, the peaks, rocks, and sea of clouds have appeared in front of you.
In Year 6 non-native speaking class, students have been working hard to make a bilingual book as part of the Global Campus projects. After learning about the pandas, one of the most famous and unique animals in China, students have been working collaboratively to plan and design their own bilingual book. By the end of the project, they will have the opportunity to reflect on their learning and share the book with their family and peers. How exciting is that!
