Reception Celebrates Green Day 2018

The children in Reception celebrated Green Day on Monday as part of the Green colour week.  The children came dressed in many hues of green and they have been involved in a variety of activities themed in the colour green, exploring the many shades of green, experiencing different textures and getting creative.

The children have also been listening to the story ‘I love my mother because’ and have been using their Literacy skills to speak and write sentences using story maps with a focus on rhyming words and adjectives.

In Maths, the children had some fun time learning their 3D shapes and their properties by giving names to the shapes such as Sandy Cylinder, Carmen Cube or Sophia Sphere.
