FOBISIA Short Story Competition 2018- WATCH!

This year’s FOBISIA Short Story Competition is being hosted by Bangkok Patana School.  The theme for 2018 is “Watch”.  Our students in Years 7-9 were encouraged to think about this word in many contexts (a watch on your wrist, watching something on TV, being watched from above, “watch out!”) to produce an original short story of 1000 words of less.  We had an abundance of fantastic entries, and there are many strong writers at BSB to be watched.

We would like to congratulate our finalists:

  • Jasmine van Heerden, Year 7- My Possessed Watch
  • Wadima AlDhanhani, Year 7- Watch out for the Watch
  • Eliza Zanlier, Year 8- She is Watching Us
  • Jeongwook Kim, Year 9- Dead Semester
  • Alex Kaye, Year 9- The Watch
  • Daniel Kaye, Year 9- Being Watched by Godot

We were only able to send one secondary entry, so this year, Daniel Kaye will proudly represent BSB with his short story Being Watched by Godot.  Please enjoy reading his story below.
