Primary Virtual School Experience 29 April, 2022

Dear Parents,

As you will have been informed by our Principal’s recent email, we will be reverting to online learning tomorrow for the following dates:

  • Friday April 29
  • Tuesday May 3
  • Wednesday May 4

We are hopeful to be able to return to face-to-face teaching on Thursday May 5.  Monday May 1 remains a national holiday so there will not be any online learning on this day.

Unfortunately this means that the following events will need to be postponed:

  • Year 3 Play in a Week
  • Saturday’s Primary Computing Competition

We will reschedule both of the above events as soon as campus reopens to students.

Microsoft Teams invitations

Staff are already sending out Microsoft Teams invitations for the start of the school day tomorrow.

  • EYFS students will start with carpet time at 8.45
  • Years 1 – 6 students will start with registration at 8.25
  • Students will then follow their regular timetable unless directed otherwise by their class teacher or Head of Year

Student attendance

All students are expected to attend online learning unless they are unwell. If they are unwell parents should report their child’s absence in the usual way.

iPads and Technical Support

We have some iPads available for students in Years 1 and 2 on a first come first served basis. Please contact our Primary Learning Support Leader, Mr Rugera Wanjara rugera.wanjara@britishschool.org.cn if you would like to borrow a school iPad for your child for the upcoming online learning. iPads will need to be collected by parents from the front of school.

If parents need any technical support please also contact Mr Wanjara.

If parents have any questions or concerns about the above information, please do let me know.

Best regards,

Nonie Adams

Head of Primary
