Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) | BSB Shunyi - Co-Curricular Activities CCA

Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) are offered to Primary students (Year 1-6) and Secondary students, held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

There generally is no extra cost involved for the activities, but on some occasions small fees may be charged for use of special equipment or ingredients.

CCA Dates for 2022-2023

Season 1:  13 September, 2022 –  11 November, 2022

Season 2:  21 November, 2022 – 19 January, 2023

Season 3:  6 February, 2023 – 31 March, 2023

Season 4: 17 April, 2023 – 2 June, 2023

CCA in Primary School

Some examples of the types of activities available are: Bookworms Club, Arts and Crafts, Board Game Fun, Chinese Calligraphy, Collage for Kids, Comic Drawing, Computer Coding, Creative Club, Dance 'Til U Drop, EAL Support, Eco Action - Roots & Shoots, STEAM Club, Film Glub, Games Glub, German Support Club, Hama Beads, How to Draw, Lego Club, Minecraft, Native Chinese, Story Time Art, Wordtoons, Yoga etc. 

CCA in Secondary School

Some examples of the types of activities available are: Science STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths), Student Council, Global Campus, Orchestra, Secondary Choir, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, Art & Design, Beginners French, Beginners German, Chinese Cooking, Competition Mathematics, Drama Club, Chinese Panda Reading Club, English Clinic (for non-native speakers), History Club, Model United Nations (MUN), Product Manufacture, Presentation Skills, Psychology Booster, Space Rail, Statistics, Strategic Boardgames, Swimming, The World Scholar's Cup, U19 Cross Fit HIIT, U19 Cardio, Homework Support etc.

The Model United Nations CCA made me learn to open myself, speak my mind and also listen to others even more at the same time. The biggest thing I learned was that you need to talk, care and communicate with the people you work with. Jai, Year 7 member of the MUN CCA

CCA Sign up Dates for each season will be announced by your child's teacher.  

During each CCA season's sign up window, your teacher will email you instructions with details on how to sign your child up for Activities.

1. Log in to the SOCS co-curricular system by clicking on the following link

2. Enter your username and password.

Your username is the parent's email address that you received originally from BSB. If you have forgotten your password, please click the 'Forgot Password' option and you will be able to reset the password.

3. If you have any questions, please contact your child's class Teacher/Form Tutor or Primary/Secondary Receptionist for your email and initial password.

4. After you've logged on to the system, refer to your teacher's email for the instructions on how to complete your choices. 

5. Parents will be able to indicate their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for CCAs and the system will assign these selections once the sign-up date closes. It will attempt to give all families their first and second choice and will distribute out other choices if a CCA is fully booked. 

6. A reminder: please remember to also sign up for the school bus if you wish your child to use the bus to return home.
