Year 3 and 4 students had a fantastic time during Dance Stay and Learn on 28th March, 2023!
The Dance Stay and Learn was part of the Nord Anglia-Juilliard Performing Arts Programme unique to BSB and Nord Anglia school students. Our students explored moving in the same and different levels and developed an awareness of varying ways to dance alone and together.
The students were great movement researchers, finding ways they can move expressively using different parts of their bodies. Make flat and 3D shapes in big and small space.
In this session, students used the imagery of becoming dough, creating a wide range of 2D, and 3D cookies, cakes, cinnamon buns, which will encourage them to fully engage their bodies in movement.
Making flat shapes was already great experience, but once kids started to interact in pairs and later small groups to bake bigger cakes, was even better!
