Year 7 Residential Update from Northern Hills 2023

To succeed in the world, our students first explore it! Our residential programme is an integral part of our curriculum here. It broadens our students’ horizons and help them form lifelong friendships. We have worked closely with our service providers to ensure that the students will experience a wide range of engaging and educational activities that include elements of cultural immersion, challenge, and community building.

Day 1

Students have been exploring a small village and using their memory to create a map and present it to their classmates. They have also been engaging in improv storytelling. Students did a great job making tofu and went on a jungle flight too. Well done!

Day 2

The students spent the night in the tents under a starry sky. In the morning, after packing up camp we continued with the day's activities which included making traditional Chinese food, creating a map of a real village, being creative in stage and, of course, zip lining and going on an adventure trek up in the trees.

 Day 3

The student engaged in team building activities and did a blind art activity, they also did tie dying and the via ferrata as well as played some lawn games. Another group when on an amazing hike up the Silver Pagoda Mountain.

Day 4

The students climbed to the top of Silver Pagoda Mountain, went on the via ferrata, did team building activities, some indoor games and explored nature!

Day 5

On the last day of the trip the students went to a water sports facility and did stand up paddle boarding and kayaking.
