Year 9 Residential Update from Tai Hu 2023

Day 1

After a comfortable and restful journey to Lake Tai Hu, students enjoyed a fabulous birthday celebration. Everyone is excited about tomorrow's activities and wish everyone will have a good night’s sleep.

Day 2

Today half of the group put in a massive effort to hike 14 km to the summit of Moly Peak. The view from the top was well worth the sweat and tears in getting there.

Our brave students dug deep and helped each other through the climbs. We finished with ice creams and a lovely meal by Taihu lake.

Day3

Year 9 students exceeded our expectations of their enthusiasm, effort and team work. The jumped on to their four-person bicycles and completed a challenging scavenger hunt. They faced heat. They faced exhaustion. They achieved.

They also hiked up Moli Peak. It was a remarkable 10k climb that pushed our 9’s right up to their physical, mental and emotional limits. Every single Year 9 student completed the hike with aplomb. We are so proud of them all today.

Day 4

After two days of intense physical effort, Year 9 have spent the day learning how to be part of a team. From building a trebuchet to practicing archery, to navigating the mysteries of the spider web, students succeeded through cooperation. It has been another enriching day in Suzhou.
